Location
With a population close to 83,000, Red Deer is located midway between Calgary and Edmonton on the Red Deer River. Red Deer serves as a transportation centre for the distribution of oil and agricultural products produced in the surrounding area. The Queen Elizabeth II Highway provides easy access to Edmonton and Calgary; the David Thompson Highway (Hwy 11) provides good transportation to locations east and west of Red Deer.
